The NORML PAC is the political action committee for NORML. While NORML itself is not permitted to directly support or oppose any candidate for public office, the NORML PAC can and will make contributions to cannabis-friendly candidates.
The NORML PAC is a separate, segregated fund of NORML, and under federal law, we can only raise PAC funds from NORML members. Therefore, if you wish to contribute to the NORML PAC, and you are not currently a NORML member, the first $25 of your contribution will be applied to your membership dues. The balance will go to the NORML PAC to provide financial help to candidates who support our positions on marijuana policy.
The maximum an individual may contribute to the NORML PAC under federal law is $5,000 per calendar year. Contributions to a PAC are not tax-deductible. Individual donors are required by federal law to provide their name and address, along with their contribution; those who contribute over $200 per election must also include their occupation, and the name of their employer.
